There was initial denial about the death of Khamenei, but this was quickly superseded by official Iranian confirmation on March 1. Why?
News outlets like The New York Times, AP News, BBC, Reuters, Al Jazeera, NBC News, and other big media reported the confirmation, often noting U.S. President Trump’s announcement on Truth Social and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statements about targeting his compound in Tehran.
Well, he (or they) weren’t even in Tehran! Something smells fishy here.

So, was the news that Khamenei is still alive quickly hushed up within hours by the actions and statements of the Iranian government itself? On social media, reports of his death are occasionally denied or questioned: statements that most officials are “alive and well”.
Several websites also reported that he had gone into hiding before the attacks began and was therefore still alive. Were these websites later bribed to claim the opposite? God knows.
