Harold Armstrong Baker (1881–1971) – His life story

“I hope that what I have herein written will help the reader to see how small I am and to see how big Jesus is. Were I able to write properly, Jesus would be magnified by showing how He has led a very ordinary person in endless details. Since most people are common people, and since life is mostly made up of countless small things, and since I am most certainly a very common person, the way Jesus has led me should encourage every reader to believe that he or she may enjoy as sure and even better leadings of the Lord than I have had.” – H.A. Baker who wrote it himself

This is H.A. Baker’s autobiography.

Actually, the most interesting part to read is from page 164 to the end. However, right from the beginning of the book, there is a lot to learn and discover about Mr. and Mrs. Baker, and how God was able to use him. It is his personal story about trusting God every day.

This book also gives the background to his famous book, Visions Beyond the Veil, which is about heaven and hell visions, and much more, seen by orphan boys and girls.

Visions Beyond the Veil - H.A. Baker

By the way, Heidi Baker and their ministry has nothing to do with her grandfather’s faith; her husband Rolland Baker was the grandson of Mr. Baker.

Later years Mr. Baker had to leave China around 1950. He then worked for a short time with Navajo Indians in New Mexico, USA.
From 1955 to the end of his life, he worked in Taiwan (Formosa) with Hakka people in Miaoli. Even as an old man, he shared the Gospel and gave out tracts.
He worked together with his wife, Josephine. They had a son. His grandson reprinted his book in 2008. It is meant to encourage you.

Harold Armstrong Baker (H. A. Baker) passed away in November 1971 at the age of 90.

Even in his old age, during the last sixteen years of his life in Taiwan, he remained tirelessly active in missionary work! Until his death, he faithfully distributed evangelistic tracts on the street and wrote his final work. His wife, Josephine, passed away a few months before him that same year.

I’m not going to tell you what the book is about.

You don’t want to miss this, so just read it yourself. 😊
Or, listen to it…
